Too frequently, healthcare organizations suffer breaches of secure protected health information as technology has created a way to easily move confidential data, either accidentally or maliciously, from the enterprise. A majority of those consumers surveyed stated they would be most concerned if their healthcare provider, pharmacy or employer lost their information. With this high level of accountability and the chance of causing irreparable harm, healthcare organizations are stepping up to take the appropriate measures to protect the privacy of their patients.
